The Renewable Energy Fund (REF) and the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER) offers resources to students or recent graduates of all backgrounds looking to get started with a career in clean energy.

How can program staff help you jump-start your clean energy career?

  1. Get noticed by clean energy employers looking to hire interns by creating an account and uploading a current transcript, cover letter and resume.
  2. Find the internship position for you by browsing the Clean Energy Jobs Board, where you can search by job type, sector, location and year of study.
  3. Once approved into the program, employers will also have access to your profile and can reach out for a potential interview.
  4. College students and recent graduates can get connected with paid internships at a clean energy company through the Clean Energy Internship Program.

The Renewable Energy Fund (REF) and Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER) runs the Clean Energy Internship program to connect the state’s clean energy companies with interns they need to expand their operations.

How can program staff help you find the right workers to help grow your clean energy business?

  1. Looking to fill an open position? Get your internship posting in front of prospective applicants by creating an account and uploading necessary documentation.
  2. Once approved into the program, login here to post up to two internships.
  3. Find eligible applicants on the "View Students" tab. You can search applicants by technology, job type, location and more and can also reach out to conduct virtual or in-person interviews.
  4. Get funding to hire college students and recent graduates through the Clean Energy Internship Program.
